Oregon Tobacco Tax XML e-file

Oregon new XML phase one on going testing with industry. Right now, Oregon is in Phase one of their Uniformity approach. This initial phase is geared towards filers with large files to transmit and is accomplished via FTP. Smaller distributors, they aren’t quite ready for them yet. The second phase will be via their online access. They expect start testing that phase in 2019. 

For their 1st testing run, Oregon did not change the FTA schema and created business rules with the understanding that all data would be sent for the transactions. They believe their next iteration will make more elements in the transactions mandatory.

The XML schema is very close to the XML schema developed by FTA  tobacco tax uniformity. In order to test in this phase with Oregon, you will need to set up an FTP site for you so they can exchange files.
