Illinois Excise Tax Electronic Filing System Upgrades

The Illinois Department of Revenue has recently made enhancements to the Excise Tax Electronic Filing System.  These enhancements are currently available in our “test” environment.  As a transmitter participant using this system, you are encouraged to send test files before these changes are moved to the “production” environment.  It is possible that returns that would have been previously accepted or accepted with error might now be rejected.

The Department anticipates moving these enhancements to the production environment on July 1, 2016.
