DC Imposes Tax on Vapor, Reduces OTP Tax & Increases Cigarettes Tax

The District of Columbia has imposed a 67% excise tax on vapor products going into effect October 1, 2015. The tax on vapor products is to be reported on the FR-1000Q Tobacco Products Excise Quarterly Tax Return.

Other tobacco products tax rates have decreased from 70% down to 67%. The cigarette tax rate has increased to $2.91 effective October 1, 2015.
